I built our first campervan 32 years ago when our son was small, so we could have lots of little weekend holidays, we had a great time and only parted with it as he got older. We then bought our first boat, which I totally rebuilt and fitted out to our own specification we went on to have two more boats after.
After lockdown and like everyone else we needed to get out and spread our wingsand boating didn’t have the same appeal as it did before, as we were restricted for time and couldn't get to far, we needed a change and decided to sell it and leave our 20 year boating history behind us. After the sale of our boat we wanted to go back to our roots and buy a campervan, this time just for the two of us.
We looked at quite a few, but because of our past boating life we knew exactly what we would need to be comfortable and none we could find fitted the criteria in size, equipment or finish. It couldn’t be too long and needed to be under 2 meters high so it would conform to the local council’s street permit parking, (some councils now restrict the type of vehicles they will issue a permit for). Being under 2 meters high also means it will fit in underground carparks, and under carpark height barriers along with all the other height barriers that have been installed especially in and around the beach area carparks.
After a long time and many miles of searching without success we decided, as we seem to have a natural talent for creating suchlike and given our past history to once again build our own conversion, after a further four month search of what seemed to be around most of the UK looking for the right van, we finally found it in a Vauxhall main dealers in North London, a one owner 2018 Vauxhall Vivaro six seater Crew Cab, it was the perfect basis for what we needed.
There was no expense spared during the build, it was built to a standard and not a budget, we went about it with the same mind set as we did with our boats. We ordered a factory made kitchen to our specification and everything else including the Vulcan M1 safety tested rock and roll bed with incorporated two M.O.T. standard seatbelts, was bought brand new and of the best quality we could get.
The end result is we have a true one-off and unique fully fitted, heated, comfortable and most fantastic campervan, that can be used as a five seater family vehicle as well as holiday accommodation. It’s exactly what we was looking for, if we had seen the same when looking to buy we would have most definitely bought it.
We have used it when work allows over the past year and have had a great time, we have seen some fantastic places and stayed in the most scenic of spots. So much so it’s given us the inspiration to move home, and this is the only reason we have now decided to sell the campervan we have put so much energy into creating.
We are sure the next owner will enjoy using this great campervan as much as we have. This is a genuine private sale of our 2018 LWB Vauxhall Vivaro Euro 6 ULEZ compliant campervan that we have selling only due to a new adventure in our lives, owning and using this fantastic and extremely comfortable campervan has been the best time ever!
This Campervan For Sale website is being built by myself. I build and look after websites for my own non related business and it only seemed fitting to build one for our much loved campervan, as it deserves more than a small advert on eBay or Auto Trader. This Means I can add more photos and much more detail. It’s a Vauxhall Vivaro 2018 2900 1600cc Sportive CDTI in fantastic condition, if you are looking at campervans for sale? This is one to consider, this is a genuine sale of our own campervan that we are only selling due to a new adventure in our lives.
This website is being added to but not yet quite finished, as soon as its completed I will add all out contact detais.
